Akemi Amano
Born in 1965, Kyoto. Kyo-Kiyomizu potter. Graduate from Kyoto City University of Arts. Form a pottery family, her father is a well known potter, she is self educated, and looks for unique and fresh style. Worked and studied in Mexico from 1997 to 1998. Figurines are her main work. Started atelier AMATSUKAZE with a partner, Jisuke Shimizu from 2008. She also creates with the traditional potter's wheel.
